Alfa Laval has added the LKH Prime 40 to its range of self-priming pumps, offering reduced energy consumption and CO2 footprint. The Alfa Laval LKH Prime uses a combination of advanced air-screw technology, an optimized impeller and casing geometry, and is engineered to meet the stringent requirements of the hygienic industries. It is EHEDG certified and authorized to carry the 3-A symbol.
The LKH Prime 40 can reach a flowrate up to 110 m3/hr and head of 115m and is designed for Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) duties containing entrained air and can also pump product. Quiet in operation, the pump reduces sound pressure levels by 80% when compared to pumps using traditional technologies for CIP/entrained air applications. This noise reducing feature can improve the working environment and plant safety for employees.
The company says that by sharing common parts with the Alfa Laval LKH pump range, the LKH prime offers low cost of ownership and increased uptime, backed up by Alfa Laval’s global service network.
